100 Comics Positives For 2013: Rob Rogers Donates His Thomas Nast Prize Money To CRNI
This was just an under-reported but very nice story. Back in May, the editorial cartoonist Rob Rogers donated his Thomas Nast Prize money -- won for 2012 cartoons like the above -- to Cartoonist Rights Network International, the group that does what it can to monitor and assist cartoonists under fire in places not the United States. As the Nast award is for cartoons that focus on world events, it was an appropriate place to put the money in addition to be very nice. This was a really nice thing he did.
