50 Comics Positives In 2012: Mark Waid Won A Bunch Of Industry Awards



I can make the case that Mark Waid was the most important mainstream comics writer of the 1990s. I don't think he's been recognized by a lot of the industry awards programs, so it was nice to personally witness the industry lifer take home a few Eisners this year. Waid had a really interesting 2012 including a high-profile on-line comics effort. The ability of folks that have been around for years to catch fire in various ways, and dig into new work in others, is an overall good thing about the comics world.
