50 Comics Positives In 2012: Chris Schweizer Announced He'll Make Comics Full Time



This one happened just a couple of days ago, but the very devoted SCAD teacher Chris Schweizer announced that he'd be leaving his teaching position to concentrate on comics full-time, forming a studio and moving his Crogan Adventures. That anyone would leave a teaching gig like that for full-time comics-making might shock some that see the former as an absolute safe harbor on a sea where what ships exist are at the lashed-together bamboo level. I like Schweizer's work; if I were a boy right now they might be my favorite comics. Seeing someone that think things through as thoroughly as Schweizer seems to make this choice has to be encouraging for the state of the art form.
