Assembled, Zipped, Transferred And Downloaded: News From Digital

* this is cool: a profile of Le Monde running the Ruppert/Mulot (with Isabelle Merlet) comic La Technique du perinee. I think there's a lot of room for mainstream, you've-heard-of-them publications to use comics, particularly those with a strong web presence, even though it seems like we may have moved past that for now in North America.

* the David Lloyd-helmed on-line publication Aces Weekly will soon debut on the comiXology site. I hope more people see it; I've been horrible about covering it here.

* I'm not sure that I've ever seen this strategy before: Dean Trippe has a re-cut, briefer version of his Something Terrible up here, with the option of going and buying a full version. That seems potentially smarter than an excerpt, at least if your comic allows for it.

* love love love reading Gary Tyrrell on crowdfunders and various predictions for how they'll do.

* finally, GoComics has announced four new features starting this week: Adult Children, Stephen Beals; YouCan With Beakman And Jax, Jok Church; Deep Dark Fears, Fran Krause; Lard's World Peace Tips, Keith Tutt and Daniel Saunders.
