Book Fair Puts Porno In Kids' Hands

A book distributor at the Bangkok International Book Fair
was ordered to take certain comics off of its shelves after selling pornographic comics to children in cheap, bundled together groups. A complaint was made by the Foundation of Family Networks. What's sort of amazing to me is that while the parents are outraged there doesn't seem to be the automatic assumption that the Rung Wattana Panich people were sleazy criminals getting off on seeing this material in kids' hands. Also, that the booth itself wasn't closed. A potential explanation floated in the article is that the comics were purchased and repackaged for cheap sale without being inspected to a satisfactory degree. Separate actions from both the Fair and local law enforcement could follow.
