I sort of liked this for some reason, even though there's nothing to it, it's not comics, and the art isn't anything I stopped people walking by my desk to show. Bell did ten color post-cards of "archetypes" (basically cartoon character studies, including "sun girl" and "globe man"), and then asks for your response postcard-style on his self-portrait. There's a primitivist spark here, naive and appealing. But it's not accomplished by anyone's measure, I don't think.

This review was written in the late 1990s as part of a then-ongoing freelance gig; I apologize if it reads oddly or seems incomplete.
