Regarding number 40 on your list - I couldn't agree with you more. I brought my 6- and 4-year old sons to the con yesterday and they got the biggest kick out of having their pictures taken next to a Ben10 statue and Superman statue. To have that put a smile on their faces first thing in, made the whole day special to them.

I think it's important that the con did some sort of focus for kids, and from what I could tell, they did a good job; my two sons were only interested in sitting in on the Mo Willems panel and after that, they just wanted to walk around the con floor, but I did get a look at the other activities in place and they seemed pretty good to me.
