We will be once again kicking off this years' Small Press Expo (the premiere independent cartooning and comics arts festival in Bethesda- www.spxpo.com) by hosting the 2nd Annual SPX-Plosion at Atomic Books in Baltimore (SPX runs Sat. & Sun, Sept. 26 & 27).

We will be celebrating the release of several new books, including EMILY FLAKE's LULU EIGHBALL VOL. 2 and JULIA WERTZ's FART PARTY VOL. 2 (both published by us, Atomic Books) as well as PETER KUPER's DIARIO DE OAXACA (PM Press), JOHN PORCELLINO's MAP OF MY HEART (Drawn & Quarterly) and a new issue of his long-running KING-CAT COMICS, KEN DAHL's MONSTERS (Secret Acres), LIZ BAILLIE's MY BRIAN HURTS VOL. 2 (Microcosm Publishing) and MK REED's CROSS COUNTRY (self-published).

SPX-PLOSION 2 will feature the 4th Annual NERDLINGER AWARDS (http://www.nerdlingerawards.com/) and a who's-who of indie cartoonists "researching" material for their next mini-comic (translation - drinking and chatting and hanging out).

It's gonna be huge!! Seriously.
