What a great pleasure to watch the interview with Bill Gaines that you posted! Not only to see Mr. Gaines and hear him talk about Alfred E. Newman, but also to see interviewer Peter Gzowski, in his prime. Gzowski was the much-loved broadcaster whose radio program Morningside was required listening across Canada through the 1980s and 1990s. The clip you linked was from his late-night TV talk show, 90 Minutes Live, which aied between 1976-1978. So this is vintage stuff, indeed. No doubt CBC cleaned up the tape and re-broadcast it at some point.
