image* here's Jennifer Holm in support of her Fall release The Third Mushroom.

* Steve Foxe over at Paste has arranged a preview of Marcellus Hall's Kaleidoscope City. Mr. Foxe also interviews Image resurgence secret MVP Rob Guillory about his latest project Farmhand and talks to the team behind the forthcoming The Weatherman.

* Marvel announces its plans for the very popular Black Panther character created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee with contributions from a host of talented creators. They'll do a new #1 and focus on a "galactic" storyline. Daniel Acuna will be on board working from designs created by Brian Stelfreeze for the most recent start at #1. Ta-Nehisi Coates remains the writer.

* here's a look at what Conor Stechschulte is working on these days.

* another small sneak at the Frank Miller Dark Horse project Xerxes: The Fall of the House of Darius and the Rise of Alexander.

* finally: Heidi MacDonald revisits Marvel's recent run of half-assed relaunches. There's not more than one or two steps difference each time out, and the sameness is sort of hilarious; its unclear to me how much of how Marvel got there is general denial and how much is cynicism.
