Go, Read: On Anti-Semitic Cartoons As Published Through Progressive Media



This is an endorsement of the article in question's subject matter -- its seriousness of intent and potential interest -- rather than any conclusion reached or accusation made, either in general or concerning specific cartoons. When you get into the general neighborhood of Middle East geopolitics and media treatment of same, it's a full-time job to track who's saying what and what they've said before and what might be behind what's being said now and what's implied by what host publication/web site/newspaper. While I think our personal filters for processing this kind of material work rather well, those filters don't rally extend past our own eyeballs and beliefs. I do like the turn-around from the traditional survey of anti-Israel, potentially anti-Semitic cartoons in Arab media organs, and as you might expect it's almost a Carlos Latuff gallery.
