L'Enfance d'Alan Wins Grand Prix De La Critique ACBD 2013

One of the major prizes of the French-language market season has gone to Emmanuel Guibert's L'Enfance d'Alan, from L'Association. This is basically their critics' prize -- the one coming from the association des journalistes et critiques de bande dessinée -- so in addition to being something worth noting on that level it's one we can process without an English-language market equivalent. It's a continuation of Guibert's work telling the story of Alan Ingram Cope.

The other finalists were David, les femmes et la mort by Judith Vanistendael; En silence by Audrey Spiry; Saison brune by Philippe Squarzoni; Un printemps a Tchernobyl by Emmanuel Lepage.
