Phil Frank Retires After 32 Years
Here's an end-of-an-era story that has kind of fallen under the radar:
Phil Frank, the veteran cartoonist best known for the long-running strip
Farley, will retire this week after 32 years as a professional cartoonist.
Farley has appeared in the
San Francisco Chronicle since 1985, after ten years as a nationally syndicated feature, and is easily the most prominent -- if not at this point the
only -- daily comic strip exclusive running in a single publication.
