* a site acting as a PR clearinghouse for crowd-funded projects sounds like a good idea, but it's all in the execution.

* not comics: the cartoonist and illustrator Laura Park has a picture-book out.

* finally, a Superman-related event has Joe Shuster sketches of a model from which he assembled the basic look of Superman, or at least parts of that look. I like that there's still stuff to learn about Superman, even if this is something that might have been out there but simply forgot (I honestly can't remember).
