Random Comics News Story Round-Up

image* Brian Nicholson on Clue: Candlestick #1. Henry Chamberlain on Unversed Comics. J. Caleb Mozzocco on a bunch of single-issue comics.

* the only things I have in common with cartoonist Scott Adams is that no one really wants to see us with our shirts off and we both called the 2016 election early and frequently for Donald Trump. Calling a Trump win in 2020 isn't as impressive and I'm pretty convinced that the combination of economic numbers and the fact that more people are less mortified by the current president's behavior and the bigotry inherent in his policies and statements will make him really hard to beat. One can hope, though.

* Bob Temuka asks after one of the better-known, least successful modern Marvel plotlines. That said, it is almost certainly someone's favorite.

* always happy to see a cartoonist avail themselves of an arts grant (assuming the material is standard to benign), and I hope for that skill set and orientation to be in every cartoonist's possession this year and moving forward.

* finally: missed it: Ailen Lujo to Humanoids.
