Random Comics News Story Round-Up

* Jason T. Miles wrote in to say he has re-launched his popular Profanity Hill site. If you can't think of anything else to buy and don't already own it: that Cryptic Wit #1 is great.

image* Sean Gaffney on Tropic Of The Sea. James Romberger on New School. Sarah Horrocks on Helter Skelter.

* saw this old Spider-Man page someone put up... it is one of the greatest unlikely things in all of comics that Amazing Spider-Man works as well as it does so far past its original, primary creator Steve Ditko leaving. It's the only superhero comic I think of as a cohesive whole with multiple hands involved in its creation. Might just be that that's a really resonant character, I'm not sure.

* not comics: Corey Lewis t-shirts.

* I would watch this movie 100 times.

* Robin McConnell talks to Jess Johnson, Jeff Smith, Jen Vaughn, Josh Simmons, Tony Cliff and Ted Mann. Not all at the same time. Tom Scioli talks to Ed Piskor. Ramon Vitral talks to Chris Ware. Paul Gravett profiles Marc-Antoine Mathieu.

* not comics: Warren Ellis on Breaking Bad.

* finally, Cameron Stewart has decided to opt out of doing convention sketches of characters that aren't his own.
