Random Comics News Story Round-Up

* My Friend Dahmer continues to rack up the end of year honors, including a place on Time's non-fiction books list.

image* John A. Walsh talks to Colleen Doran.

* not comics: Alyssa Rosenberg on why video games didn't cause that horrific shooting in Connecticut. I don't know that anyone has really said that video games actually caused that horrific event that isn't a deplorable dumbass that shouldn't be listened to for directions to the frozen foods aisle, but we tend to argue these things at the extremes, which may be one reason why very little changes.

* not just comics: Warren Ellis writing advice. If it weren't for the things I get done while suffering through what some folks call "writer's block," I wouldn't get anything done.

* Todd Klein writes about creating his latest print here.

* Pascal Girard's X-Mas Chicken.

* Dean Putney on The Black Forest. Johanna Draper Carlson on Marbles. Rob Clough on Passionella. Don MacPherson on various comics. Sean Gaffney on Alice In The Country Of Hearts: My Fanatic Rabbit Vol. 1. Grant Goggans on Brass Sun: The Wheel Of Worlds.

* another fine end of the year list.

* Scrooge McDuck, fashion icon.

* finally, this is several days old now, but man, it's great to be able to access these great Ben Katchor strips on-line.
