News: D&Q to Farrar, Strauss & Giroux posted July 21, 2004
July 21 -- Ending weeks of speculation, Drawn and Quarterly announced just before the start of Comic-Con International its impending move from Chronicle Books to Farra, Strauss & Giroux. Rumors of an impending move had increased despite D&Q's denials after the company did not appear with their distributor at the 2004 Book Expo America held in Chicago, one year after the small comics publisher had been required to exhibit.
The move will be effective January 1, 2005. Raincoast Books will continue as the publisher's Canadian distributor, and Turnaround Publishing will represent Drawn and Quarterly in the United Kingdom.
