Uncivilized Books Announces Fall 2015 Schedule
Uncivilized Books, the Minneapolis-based boutique publisher owned and operated by
Tom Kaczynski, has announced its Fall 2015 schedule via an e-mail distributed early this morning. The offerings include a new collection of work from
Sam Alden, a book by
Caitlin Skaalrud, and an illustrated prose work featuring art by
Lilli Carré. It looks like another strong season, and I admire the restraint that Kaczynski is showing despite so much work out there that could be published right now.
The books are:
*****
*
New Construction, Sam Alden, Softcover, 208 pages, 9781941250037, $17.95.
This will contain the stories "Household" and "Backyard," and notes the much-traveled cartoonist has relocated full-time to Los Angeles.
*****
*
Houses of the Holy, Caitlin Skaalrud, Softcover, 180 pages, 9781941250051, $21.95.
The work by the former Xeric winner is described as "a Dantean journey" and "a nightmarish vision of a damaged psyche fighting to be reborn."
*****
*
The Deaths of Henry King, Brian Evenson And Jesse Ball And Lilli Carré, Hardcover, 132 pages, 9781941250075, $22.95.
Forty two-color illustrations in all.
