50 Comics Positives In 2012: Costumes At Cons Are Like What We Used To Tell People They Were Like
About a dozen years ago I took my younger brother to an early Wizard Chicago show. There were exactly three people in costumes there, if you don't count Hart Fisher in his profane Marvel t-shirt. I don't understand the costuming impulse outside of maybe doing a contest, and they don't really intersect with anything I understand about comics, but if we're going to have them they might as well be spectacular. A lot of them are now. I can't be too mad about any avenue for people having fun, particularly when I suspect this is yet another way teenagers organize themselves into dating clusters. Now if they could only learn not to block the aisles.
