You don't even have to include Tony Fitzpatrick's ongoing series of narrative paintings The Mysteries Of Ohio to find three laudable comics works set in portions of the Buckeye State released this year: the third volume of You'll Never Know (Carol Tyler), the harrowing My Friend Dahmer (Derf Backderf) and the lovely career grace note Cleveland (Harvey Pekar/Joseph Remnant) represented the biggest state no one talks about extremely well. Comics' next comeback is a Midwestern comeback, and we're already on our way.
