The comics industry is simply too small and insular to support legitimate journalistic oversight - outside of independent efforts like yours and the sporadic gems that pop up across the comics blogosphere - and as long as the major comics outlets are content to serve primarily as PR platforms, that's not going to change anytime soon. Is it really that surprising that PW Comics Week is what it is, considering Reed's hooking up with Wizard for the NY Comic-Con?
