Iestyn Pettigrew On The Elephant In The Room When It Comes To Creators In Crisis

This may come across badly, I don't know... But coming from the UK it seems like there is an elephant in the room with all conversations about how I portent it is to raise money for cartoonists who have huge medical bills.

Why oh why are there not more cartoonists championing a free national health service for everybody?

I understand all these conversations about how wretched it is that comics companies have made millions off of creators who are too bankrupt to pay for health care, but am constantly astounded that no one goes that step further and calls it wretched that such a wealthy nation would allow people to die without treatment because they could not save enough money through their working life.
