Missed It: Manga Artists Sketch In Shelter
This is from last weekend, but I missed it entirely until a few readers sent along the link. Apparently, a group of manga cartoonists including Naoki Urasawa
visited a gymnasium in Kawamata serving as shelters for refugees of that country's recent earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear plant difficulties. They signed and sketched for over 2000 people. That just seems like a nice story to me, a nice thing for these cartoonists to have done, and there's enough about which to grouse out there that this deserved to be pulled out and spotlighted.
