* the Philadelphia Inquirer previews this weekend's Locust Moon Festival.

* it is interesting to note Marvel doing advance, on-line advertising for a convention appearances/news release. Since conventions are here to stay and a big deal, it behooves every company to figure out how they're going to use them.

* CAKE has made official their 2014 show dates on their site -- May 31/June 1 -- and has information up about registration.

* Los Bros in Vegas.

* Nick Gazin took a lot of nice pictures in New York of comics people and people standing near comics people.

* finally, there was a big jump in attendance in Edmonton.
