This is cute, if forgettable. Jim Siergey, or the Siergey/Roberts team, has taken time to do a little mini-comic in Michael Dowers' Little Starhead Book line. The drawing is really nice, and I enjoy seeing Siergey doing something other than socio-political commentary with this storybook-style "See Spot Run" kid's book approach. The gruesome touches are entertaining, if not overly so, and the other humor is spotty and uneven. But you could do so much worse. I'd suggest checking out at least one of the books in this 25-pamphlet series; some of the best comics are disposable comics, after all.

This review was written in the late 1990s as part of a then-ongoing freelance gig; I apologize if it reads oddly or seems incomplete.
