Saw your blog post about the Amish and the draft. The answer is, yes, Amish men were drafted, just like everyone else. Drafted Amish men would file for conscientious objector status and serve non-combat alternative duty. Members of The Society of Friends (otherwise known as The Quakers) would do the same thing.
