Tim O’Shea on Remembering Daniel Robert Epstein
posted June 14, 2007

First off, my condolences to the family and friends of Daniel Robert Epstein.
There are few interviewers I respected more. And I wish I had told him that directly. I know I mentioned it to other people, but never to him.
We were not friends or associates, per se. But make no mistake I always respected his work.
He was one of those people that makes me try harder when doing interviews. I will continue to try harder. He found creators off the beaten track and he made the industry better through his efforts (and more importantly informed its vital consumers immensely) .
He made a difference and I wish for his family that he was still here. I imagine as much as he added to this industry, he enriched the lives of his loved ones even more.
Thank you, Daniel.
(And if you've never read an Epstein piece, go read one now.)
