Euro Comics Authors Take Stand On Issues Surrounding Digital Rights
According to a brief report at BDZoom.com, over 750 comics authors and creators active in the French-language comics market have signed a declaration to stop granting digital rights to their publishers until industry standards are worked out in terms of the nature of digital comics work (separate book, derivative work) and how authors will be rewarded for the sale of such works in light of various pricing issues. You can see -- and translate -- a document with the bulk of those names
here; the initial document that went out with 14 comics creators including Cyril Pedrosa and Olivier Jouvray can be found in PDF form
here.
