LA Times on Comic Strips' Plight

The writer Alex Chun has a piece in the LA Times about the big, cultural-shift issues facing the newspaper comic strip, from the perspective of some of the most successful comics artist. Berke Breathed even drew something just to illustrate the article. As comic book people know, it's always difficult to make those downshifts from wider to more narrow cultural relevancy, and a lot of needless harm that can be done by accident in trying to negotiate that tricky journey, especially when you know you've lost none of your artistic potency.
