* Hidden: A Child's Story Of The Holocaust, Loic Dauviller
* Hilda And The Black Hound, Luke Pearson
* Lowriders In Space, Cathy Camper
* The Magical Monster of Turkey Hollow, Jim Henson & Jerry Juhl, Adapted By Roger Landridge [maybe this one, with a slightly different name]
* Sisters, Raina Telgemeier

Judges for the nominating round were Edith Donnell (librarian), Dan Merrit (comic shop owner) and Brigid Alverson (journalist). The award will be given on June 20, in conjunction with the Kids Read Comics Festival in Ann Arbor on June 21-22.
