I enjoyed looking at this a lot, even though it's in Arabic and I couldn't read a thing. This came billed as "one of the authoritative Caricature Magazines throughout the world." And I don't want to argue. It's Iranian in focus, and the subject matter is fascinating: this issue, for example, contains several anti-smoking and anti-drug cartoons: Iran, lest we forget, is an conservative country. There's also a nice, fold-out poster and a section of illustrations from outside Iran -- from Turkey to the USA. It's essentially a trade magazine for Iranian cartoonists and adherents: any value you can get from it is fleeting and more oddity than affecting art. Still, it's one of the best reads on this list.

This review was written in the late 1990s as part of a then-ongoing freelance gig; I apologize if it reads oddly or seems incomplete.
