Crawling is a love-letter type declarative suite of prose accompanied by art, some of which is grotesque (a male creature licking and tugging at the back of a female), and some of which is more grounded in reality (a hammer striking). Conceptually, this is something mini-comics do well: a restricted idea that can be accomplished in several pages, and a way of testing out what works on the page drawing-wise and prose-wise. That said, this isn't very attractive or remarkably well-written work, the visual metaphors are pretty straightforward and the language is frequently cliched. I appreciated anyone who thinks in terms of comics, but more ambition and better execution would be necessary for anyone to seek this out.
