This is terrific novelty item at its price: a well-printed, nicely packaged series of what my friend Kirk would call "babe drawings" from three generations of arts and alternative cartoonists. While the big, obvious names turn in solid work, it's even more fun to look at pin-ups from artists you don't necessarily think of when you think of girlie art. Nothing here is in bad taste, at least nothing that sets off my inner Midwestern prude. To be honest, I'd probably buy this for the cover alone, Rick Altergott's funny street scene of all the artists in the same general location (you can see it by clicking the image and scrolling down a bit). If I had a pool room, I might frame the art inside. Really, this is kind of review proof. It's that kind of book by this group of artists. You might not like it if you don't like pin-ups, you'll probably like it if you do, the line-up is there for all to see and it doesn't disappoint. The end.
