Matt Maxwell on Batman Year Two and Fantagraphics Publishing Dr. Strange
posted August 16, 2008

Yeah, DC kinda messed that up by doing a Year Two which was straight up superhero shenanegains (sp?). Though they did return to that sort of presentation for "The Man Who Laughs", which was written by Ed Brubaker, art by Doug Mahnke (sp again?) and was supposed to be a "Year One" take on Batman versus the Joker. Given the talent involved, it was unmemorable. And Eric Reynolds can try all he wants, no Marvel property is going to get licensed out in comic form. If near-bankruptcy couldn't force their hand on that issue, nothing will. Moral imperative or not.
