Comic Shops

6. What's the best experience you've ever had in a comics shop?

Going to FORBIDDEN PLANET in London the first time in the late 70's. Then heading over to DARK THEY WERE AND GOLDEN EYED.

7. What's the worst experience you've ever had in a comics shop?

Asking for Pro discount at a well known LA store (where I'd been OFFERED discount before) and being refused and told by the owner that professionals should be paying retailers to sell their books.

8. List the names of the comics shops that have been your shop in your lifetime of buying comics.

ODYSSEY 7 , Manchester; FORBIDDEN PLANET, Denmark Street, London; COMICS SHOWCASE, Covent Garden, London; HI DE HO COMICS, Santa Monica; COMICS INK, Culver City; THE COMIC BUG, Manhattan Beach.

9. If a comic shop has opened within 50 miles in the last two years, what exactly makes you think it will or won't survive until a fifth anniversary?

Bad location.

10. What is something you've done in a comics shop you're sorry happened?

Getting Peter Davison's autograph at FORBIDDEN PLANET 2 in the 80's. That was when I realized I was too old to stand in line for autographs.
