Michael J. Grabowski On Changing One’s Orientation Towards Comics
posted September 20, 2008

Thanks for presenting your system for figuring out how to steward one's comics budget more wisely. I went through something similar back in college, which was pretty tough when my college comics shop was Comic Relief.
I'm fortunate enough these days that I can afford pretty much what I want to buy & keep. My problem is finding the time to read this great stuff. Family & church conspire to take out most of my disposable time, and the stack of stuff to read seems to grow exponentially. A pamphlet or anthology is easy to read in a spare half-hour, but I'm afraid to start Bottomless Belly Button unless I've got a weekend away from the kids. I won't pull a Peanuts-Popeye-Annie et al collection off the shelf unless I've got at least a good hour to get absorbed in it. And then a 100-page Kim Deitch interview can’t help but interfere with the progress. Any suggestions?
