Brian Fies On Writing About Process

I really appreciate the recent Quick Hits links to my posts on "How I Approach Cartooning." I'm always a little uneasy when posting that kind of thing: I don't want to come off like some know-it-all expert that I'm not, but at the same time some people really enjoy that look behind the curtain just as I do when other people do it. I figure as long as I make it clear I'm only talking about my process, I can avoid the reply "Who do you think you are, Will Frickin' Eisner?" One thing I'm trying to get across is that drawing simple little pictures isn't simple. It's hard work to try to get it right and easy to screw up despite your best efforts.
