Nice SPX piece. A couple of books that you missed that I thought were AWESOME:

Night of Your Life + Blue Fuzz by Jesse Reklaw
Jesse finally won an Ignatz and he seemed so happy. Plus the Night of book is gorgeous. Good stuff from a good egg.

Swallow Me Whole by Nate Powell
Nate had a bunch of new work and when I commented that he seemed to be kicking into high gear he lit up and said "I turned thirty and felt like I gotta get movin'!" It really shows in hiswork.

Mesmo Delivery by R. Grampa
The story is okay but the art is bonkers good. I think Chris over at Ad House said it was brand new, although maybe it was new at B-more Comic-Con

the latest Thingpart collection by Joey Sayers
I'm totally biased because Joey is my bud but her work is so consistently awesome. Watching folks stop in their tracks then crack up was so fun. She's a juggernaut cartoonist and one of the only transsexual comics in the game. Might be a good interview... Anyhoo. Hope yer good.
