Good work on the list of 24 things. Number 20 is a good idea or at least a good starting point.

My only beef would be with #3. While I agree that the thing is full of junk (I can't even look at the thing) I just don't trust Diamond's judgement on picking out the good stuff. You mention the "Bone Factor" I agree with your two points there but still... I just don't trust the guys that put crazy light up belt buckles and junk like that in the book to make the right decisions on what books should be in there. Really, I guess you could say I agree with you on this issue, I just don't trust Diamond to do the the right thing more often than not. Even if an Emperor so decreed. (Maybe I'm giving them too little credit but like I said, I can't even look at the thing.) But then again, I think most publishers (and even the barely publishable vanity guys) are learning that you can't depend on Diamond to deliver you any kind of success. While they may monopolize the direct market they are only one part of the full on comics hustle it take to sell some books.
