posted January 10, 2009

I don't have a link for you yet, but this press release went out today from B&N. If you'd like to post it, feel free. The more the merrier, after all.
"The Batman Strikes" Author, Russell Lissau,
to Speak and Sign Comic Books at Barnes & Noble Deer Park
Deer Park, January 7, 2009 -- On Thursday, January 22 at 7:30 pm local comic book author Russell Lissau will be appearing at Barnes & Noble Deer Park. "We are very excited to have Russell coming to our store" states Michelle Schmitz, Community Relations Manager at the Deer Park Barnes & Noble. "After meeting Russell last summer when he participated in Printer's Row, I knew I wanted do an event with him. Comic books and graphic novels are extremely popular with teens and pre-teen kids. To have the writer of "The Batman Strikes" right here in our community is a real gem for us and I'm anxious to have Russell speak to kids and adults about his work."
Lissau is also a journalist for the Daily Herald newspaper in suburban Chicago and has written for The Miami Herald, Chicago Magazine, and Wizard Magazine.
