Joe Gross On Brian Hibbs On Serial Comics As Fair Market Value
posted March 29, 2010

$2.99/22 pages seems fair-market value in '10, but $2.99/22 of a screenplay/storyboard combo that can be finished in 5 minutes by any given 13-25 year old drives people not to buy them, but consume them like TV, meaning for free on a screen.

Or maybe not. Mark Millar and Bendis have built whole empires on proving me wrong.

But they are blockbuster creators who make almost exclusively blockbuster-style comics OR comics that adopt the language and pace of the blockbuster.
