Tim O’Neil On Late 1960s Sgt. Fury
posted July 30, 2010

Considering how excruciatingly picked-over all of Marvel's 1960s books are, John Severin's Sgt Fury is probably the last great unsung run from the period. One of these days Marvel is going to reprint those books and people are going to be amazed that they've remained essentially hidden for decades now. They read much better than Joe Kubert's comparatively more lauded Sgt Rock stories, which get really repetitive in medium to high doses.
