Beautiful, feminine men used to be strictly a convention of girls' manga, but lately I've been seeing more and more boys' manga with pretty-boy characters, possibly designed to hook the crossover girl audience. This seems particularly true for the titles in Weekly Shonen Jump, which has the widest circulation of any manga magazine and probably draws a sizable number of female readers.
