Brian Hibbs on “Holy,” “Crap,” And Why Being A Comics Retailer Is Fun

Diamond's never heard of Elle Humour. Nor has Cold Cut or Last Gasp. Which is... like weird.

B&T knows what you're talking about, but (comical trumpet sound) "Not yet published"

Oddly, Diamond is carrying PictureBox's comics after the controversy -- Cold Heat and Drips. Cold Heat, in particular, was one of the worst, least professional, and most overpriced comics I've ever seen, and Diamond was absolutely right to originally reject it... But then they don't carry the items that could sell like Elle Humour....

Meanwhile, Diamond appears to be the only distribution source for Mourning Star (and, it looks Bodega's other titles: Daybreak, Last Cry For Help ) -- B&T doesn't know a thing about it (nor, for that matter, does Amazon). Naturally (naturally) Diamond doesn't have any copies after they distributed their initial orders. (Why would they?)

I can get Popeye from every single source, at least!!

Mark my words, Distribution is the First Great Problem of the 21st century comics industry.
