Iran Lifts Ban on Newspaper

Iran has just lifted a ban on the state-run newspaper
Iran,
newswires are reporting today. A cartoon by Mana Neyestani featuring a talking cockroach speaking in Azeri appeared in that newspaper's weekly edition was blamed for riots by the Azeri minority. Not only was the paper suspended, the cartoonist and his editor were arrested and have been kept in the notoriously famous Evin prison. Unfortunately, they are still headed for trial, and official say the suspension being lifted will have no effect on their cases.
