Top Shelf Receives Capital Investment
John S. Johnson and Likely Story, a film production company owned by
Anthony Bregman
, have purchased a 33 percent interesting in Top Shelf Productions,
in a capital investment deal designed to buttress the publisher's bottom line and give Bregman's company a first look deal at all Top Shelf publications
. It was announced at the same time that Alex Robinson's
Too Cool To Be Forgotten
would receive the first development deal under the new arrangement. I assume without knowing
this is the John S. Johnson mentioned in the PR
, which would perhaps indicate a reinvestment in and potential acceleration of Top Shelf's on-line efforts, or at least offer that as a possibility.
