100 Comics Positives For 2013: A Comics Movie By Comics People
Dave Kellett and Fred Schroeder crowd-funded
their documentary Stripped not once but twice, and started to show a significantly close to final cut to enthusiastic audiences in the Fall. I think it should do very well. I'm not the audience for some of its conclusions, but the overall vibe is upbeat; it's accessible but no insultingly basic, and it's a grand favor they've done comics history to get so many makers on film where they can be seen and heard for the next 100 years. Any movie where one of the first questions is what you're going to do with the raw material that didn't make it into the final cut, that's my kind of film.
