ActuaBD: Dupuis Adding Kids Lines

image

The comics news site ActuaBD.com has a piece up about two new collections from Dupuis targeting kids: Puceron and Punaise. Puceron is for kids approximately three years old; Punaise is for kids around the age of six. Reasons given for the line are the lack of similar lines, the success of a book called Game-Over, which was aimed at younger kids and sold around 60,000, and the chance to instill a love of and a sense of appreciation for comics that they hope will draw kids into the lines meant for older kids when they reach that age.

A long list of creators involved can be found in the original article; the article states about 15 titles are planned for 2007. I think that figure means from both lines combined.
