The Cuban cartoonist Angel Boligan won the big World Press Cartooning award worth approximately $28,000 last Thursday evening in the Portuguese town of Sintra. The cartoonist won for a May '05 cartoon called "The Deceit" (above) that ran in the Mexican newspaper El Universal. Boligan's cartoon beat out over 400 other entries.
